"Flat-Ware" in the Garden

We enjoyed our workshop this evening.  :-)
It was so good to have a couple of hours to "play!"

It will be fun having the windchimes in the garden this summer.  They'll also make great gifts!
I'll post a "tutorial" soon.

This is a photo to show how the strands are connected to the "hanger."
This photo shows that the "hanger" is actually a flattened spoon with turned-up tines.
I will curl the tines even more, closing the gap to keep everything intact.

Now you can see that the flatware has been flattened!
And "Flat-ware" is an appropriate pun!!

Let's Have a Workshop February 29 - Behner's F.H.

Workshop date:  Wednesday, March 29, 2012 at 5:00 in a "back workroom" at Behner's Funeral Home.

I'm going to look for silverware ahead of time, do the cutting and drilling. Got wire that won't rust?  Bring it.  Got some cute beads?  Bring them.  Fishing line?  check!

We'll just make em!  :-)

Now, your other opportunity is to bring information about one of your favorite plants.  Its needs and habits.  etc., etc.  I'd love to hear something from each person there - perhaps then we can accept Sandi D's offer of creating garden notebooks!

So Far, So Good!

Monday, September 19 marks the final planting date.
It also marked the wonderful help we had in setting the fence panel in place!

And on Tuesday, September 20,
Cindy D brought her wagon wheel - which I quickly wired to the fence!
Looking good!!

It's a beautiful garden.  Many hands made light work.
Our Master Gardener friend, Jan, was truly a hard worker!
Perhaps she'd like to join our Gabby Garden Gals?

I'm going to water a bit today...
hopefully it will rain before long.

The edging should be ready within 10 days or so, now.
